Julianna is an interesting little vegetable...what drew me to her work initially was an image that i know know is apart of her "mean cards" collection. Drawings beyond simple and yet striking, and in many cases very powerful. She dares to say all that tends to go unsaid in life...
in addition to her card line, she also designs installation pieces for the stage. she also has a fabulous homeware line, though absurdly overpriced, that includes wall hangings, lamps and pillows.
originally from detroit, Holowka now works and resides in philly where she continues to pursue the dream - to "[satisfy] the urge to make pretty things"
